In 2008, Turkey introduced a new desert-style camouflage pattern that became the standard for its Armed Forces, though some branches retained older designs. Developed by TÜBİTAK and designed by fashion stylist Arzu Kaprol, it features olive green and reddish-brown shapes on a khaki background. The pattern was worn by all personnel until around 2019, with a waterproof version used for ponchos and shelters.
